"Our sewer had collapsed completely — LiningWorks said CIPP wasn't possible and Pipe Bursting was the right call. They were in and out in a day with two small pits. I was honestly amazed nothing more was disturbed."
LiningWorks pulls a hydraulic bursting head through your failed sewer pipe, shatters it outward, and simultaneously installs a new HDPE pipe in its place — start to finish with just two small access pits.
Free phone consultation. Flat-rate pricing. No upsells, ever.
Pipe Bursting is a trenchless replacement method that destroys the old pipe and installs a new one simultaneously. A hydraulic bursting head — larger in diameter than the existing pipe — is pulled through the host line. As it travels, it fractures the old pipe outward into the surrounding soil while a new HDPE pipe follows directly behind.
The result is a complete sewer line replacement with no trench, no demolished concrete, and no disturbed landscaping except for two small access pits — one at the cleanout end and one at the connection point. Those pits are typically 18 inches square.
Pipe Bursting is the method of choice when CIPP lining isn't viable: collapsed sections, pipes too deteriorated to hold a liner, or lines that need to be upsized in diameter. The new HDPE pipe is rated for 100+ years, is root-resistant, and has no joints for roots to exploit.
Every LiningWorks Pipe Bursting job begins with a full camera inspection and pipe-locating run to map the line depth, route, and existing diameter. The replacement pipe is sized before the truck arrives.

A real LiningWorks Pipe Bursting installation — camera inspection, access pit setup, bursting head pull, HDPE pipe installation, and final camera verify. No staged footage.
These are the four scenarios where Pipe Bursting is the right call over CIPP lining. If your line checks one of these boxes, Pipe Bursting is likely what your sewer needs.
A LiningWorks Pipe Bursting job typically takes one day from access pit excavation to backfill. The new HDPE pipe is pressure-tested and camera-verified before we leave.
A 1963 Dilworth home where the original clay sewer had collapsed in two locations and was too deteriorated for lining. Pipe Bursting replaced the full 55-foot run with 4-inch HDPE in one day. Two access pits, no lawn trenching.
