Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water — delivered through a specialized nozzle at up to 4,000 PSI — to scour the interior walls of a sewer pipe. Unlike a snake, which punches a hole through a blockage, hydro jetting removes the blockage material entirely and cleans the pipe wall back to near-original bore.
Grease accumulations, mineral scale, silt deposits, and soft root intrusions that have built up over years are stripped from the wall in a single pass. The nozzle sprays forward to cut through blockages and backward to flush debris down the line and away from the property.
Hydro jetting is also the required pre-treatment before CIPP pipe lining. The liner must bond to a clean pipe wall — any debris, scale, or organic material left behind can cause voids in the liner adhesion. LiningWorks always jets before any lining installation.
