PROBLEM SIGN · STORM DRAIN REHABILITATION
Frequent street flooding from failing storm drains is getting worse — not better.
Street flooding that gets worse with each storm season, that's occurring at lower storm event intensities than before, or that begins appearing in locations where flooding wasn't occurring previously — these are indicators of progressive storm drain capacity loss, not normal regional weather patterns.

WHY STREET FLOODING GETS WORSE
How storm drain system deterioration causes progressive flooding.
Street flooding from deteriorating storm drain systems follows a predictable pattern — each storm season is a little worse than the last, until flooding occurs during storms that the system should handle without difficulty.
Progressive sediment accumulation reduces hydraulic capacity each year
Storm drain systems accumulate sediment continuously. Without periodic cleaning, sediment accumulation progressively reduces the effective pipe cross-section — explaining why flooding gets worse each season.
Structural deterioration creates partial flow restrictions that worsen over time
Partial collapses, root intrusion, and joint offsets create flow restrictions that worsen progressively — each storm event applies hydraulic loading that advances the deterioration.
Increased impervious area increases runoff volume beyond design capacity
Development around commercial properties that adds impervious surface increases runoff volume to storm drain systems designed for earlier, lower-impervious conditions — overwhelming capacity that was previously adequate.
Inlet blockage from debris accumulation reduces inlet capture efficiency
Debris accumulation at storm drain inlets reduces the rate at which runoff enters the underground system — causing surface ponding even when the underground pipe has adequate capacity.
Why the cause of flooding determines the solution.
Street flooding from storm drain problems has different causes with different solutions — camera inspection identifies which mechanism is causing the flooding before any remediation scope is developed.
Sediment-caused flooding: camera identifies and jetting resolves
When camera inspection finds significant sediment accumulation restricting capacity, hydro jetting restores the design cross-section — addressing the capacity loss directly and efficiently.
Structural obstruction: camera confirms and CIPP lining resolves
When camera finds partial collapse or root intrusion creating a physical flow restriction, CIPP lining following root cutting addresses the structural source — not just the symptoms.
Capacity limitation: camera and hydraulic analysis identifies the gap
When camera finds the pipe is in serviceable structural condition but flooding still occurs, hydraulic capacity analysis identifies whether the system was under-designed for current conditions — determining whether rehabilitation or infrastructure augmentation is needed.
Commercial property configurations with the highest storm drain flooding vulnerability.
Street flooding risk from storm drain failure is highest in specific property configurations — particularly those with high impervious coverage, aging infrastructure, and low surface grades.
Low-gradient commercial sites with aging underground storm drain infrastructure
Commercial properties with flat grades and aging storm drain infrastructure have the least tolerance for capacity reduction — any sediment accumulation or structural restriction immediately manifests as surface flooding.
Urban commercial properties with combined infrastructure serving multiple properties
Shared storm drain infrastructure in commercial districts accumulates capacity pressure from all connected properties — making age-related capacity loss more consequential than in single-property systems.
Properties at the lower end of a drainage shed with upstream development
Commercial properties receiving runoff from upstream impervious development are at the highest risk of flooding when their storm drain infrastructure loses capacity — the upstream runoff volume hasn't changed.
Retail and service properties where flooding impairs access and operations
Retail, restaurant, and service commercial properties where storm drain flooding impairs customer access or delivery operations face direct revenue impacts from each flooding event — making timely remediation critical.
Commercial service district — progressive flooding resolved with system jetting and spot lining.
A Charlotte commercial service district had experienced worsening parking lot and street flooding over three consecutive storm seasons. Camera inspection found significant sediment accumulation throughout the main storm drain system and a partial collapse at one section creating an additional flow restriction.
LiningWorks hydro-jetted the full storm drain system, removing accumulated sediment and restoring hydraulic capacity, then installed a spot liner at the partial collapse location. Post-jetting camera confirmed full sediment clearance and liner bond at the collapse section. No flooding occurred during the following storm season.

We had a plumbing emergency around the holiday's and called a local plumbing company. They cleared the line and quoted a pretty high price to dig up my yard and fix the damaged sewer line. The next day I found LiningWorks online and called Jeremiah. He was very helpful and confident they could fix my sewer line without digging. Seemed too good to be true. The lining has been installed, yard not damaged and looks to have resolved the break. Jeremiah even offered to come back and scope it at a later time to ensure it's all good. Highly recommend Lining Works for any situation where you can't or don't want to dig. Thanks guys!

LiningWorks was top notch. We had a sewer main that got damaged and was completely blocked up. They were able to clear the drain, remove all issues, and reline the entire sewer main without cutting out my driveway and yard. And they were able to get the job done in one day. I would and plan to do business these guys again in the future and would highly recommend them to others.

Where do I begin? Let's just say I had an absolute nightmare on my hands for about 5 years with my sewage. I had one company quote me 7k after he snaked my sewage line and from there I just kept snaking it every year. I dreaded the oncoming financial disaster but I bit the bullet and called LiningWorks. BEST home decision of 5 years. Jeremiah came out and tackled this chaos with grace and integrity. He got down to the root of it — after years of money, anxiety, and frustration he found out it was a city problem! I will definitely be calling LiningWorks when my lining needs replacing. Call them now, you will not be disappointed.

Lining Works was excellent to work with. They were perfectly professional. They were organized, efficient, and friendly throughout the whole process. They took time to answer all of our questions. Pipe lining is an incredible option and the team at Lining Works couldn't have been better. They were also transparent, honest, and consistent with their cost/pricing. We couldn't be happier. We feel very fortunate that we found Lining Works. Great guys!

The main drain line in our airbnb kept clogging up, filling the house with an awful sewage smell. We had drain cleaners come out to clear the line every couple months but it finally got so bad we had to close off our bookings. LiningWorks were very prompt in coming out. We discovered tree roots had broken up our line. Our sewage line runs under a tree and 6ft deep through our crawlspace so digging it up was going to be a nightmare. Liningworks was able to cut the tree roots out and line the pipe without any digging so that it's as good as new. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing sewage line repair.

Camera-first storm drain flooding diagnosis and rehabilitation.
Street flooding from storm drain capacity loss has specific causes — camera inspection identifies which one before any rehabilitation scope is recommended.
Camera identifies the specific cause of capacity loss
We identify whether flooding is caused by sediment, structural obstruction, inlet blockage, or capacity limitation — ensuring the remediation addresses the actual cause.
Hydro jetting and CIPP lining address both sediment and structural causes
Where flooding results from both sediment accumulation and structural obstruction, LiningWorks addresses both causes in a single mobilization — jetting first, then lining structural defects.
All rehabilitation through existing storm drain access — no excavation
Jetting and CIPP lining are performed through existing manholes, inlets, and headwalls — no road excavation, no pavement disruption, no lane closures in most applications.
Documentation confirms capacity restoration for property records
Post-rehabilitation camera footage confirming sediment removal and structural defect rehabilitation — for property maintenance records and future planning.
Get storm drain flooding resolved before the next storm season.
Camera identifies the cause — we address it with the right combination of jetting and rehabilitation.
