COMMON REASONS

When Trenchless Pipe Lining is the right call.

Most failing sewer lines in Charlotte are perfect candidates for Trenchless Pipe Lining. Four problems show up over and over — and a CIPP liner handles every one of them without breaking concrete or tearing up the yard.

Common Trenchless Pipe Lining situations:

Trenchless Pipe Lining for root-damaged joints

Hairline tree roots invade clay-tile and cast-iron joints. Trenchless Pipe Lining seals the joint with a jointless, smooth interior — roots cannot grow through cured resin.

Trenchless Pipe Lining for cracked, leaking pipe

Cracks, fissures, and pinhole leaks reseal under a CIPP liner. The Trenchless Pipe Lining creates a structural pipe-within-a-pipe, rated for 50+ years of service.

Trenchless Pipe Lining for corroded cast iron

Decades-old cast iron pits and scales from the inside. Trenchless Pipe Lining bypasses the corrosion with a smooth, full-diameter resin liner.

Trenchless Pipe Lining for offset & belly sections

Where a section has shifted or sagged, our pull-in-place Trenchless Pipe Lining bridges the defect with a single continuous liner — no excavation required.

CATCH PROBLEMS EARLY

Why Trenchless Pipe Lining is a timing decision.

Trenchless Pipe Lining only works while the host pipe still holds its shape. The earlier we catch a failing line, the less invasive — and less expensive — the repair becomes. Four good reasons to lock in CIPP before the line gives up.

Watch for these Trenchless Pipe Lining triggers:

  • Trenchless Pipe Lining works best before total collapse
A cracked line still holds shape for a liner to cure inside. Once the pipe collapses, Trenchless Pipe Lining is no longer an option — pipe bursting or excavation becomes necessary.
  • Trenchless Pipe Lining catches root regrowth between snakings
Snaking buys months. Trenchless Pipe Lining buys decades — roots cannot regrow through a jointless cured liner.
  • Trenchless Pipe Lining is faster than waiting for the next backup
A scheduled, one-day CIPP install beats an emergency excavation every time. We see the difference in cost and disruption on every job.
  • Trenchless Pipe Lining preserves trees, driveways & hardscape
Excavation kills mature trees and breaks driveways. Catching the problem in time means Trenchless Pipe Lining can save the things around the line, not just the line itself.

SERVICE PROCESS

How our Trenchless Pipe Lining process holds up.

A Trenchless Pipe Lining install is only as good as the prep, the resin, and the verification. Four standards make every LiningWorks CIPP job consistent.

Trenchless Pipe Lining starts with HD camera diagnosis

Every Trenchless Pipe Lining job opens with a sewer camera scope. You see the defects on screen — that footage becomes part of your liner spec.

Trenchless Pipe Lining requires hydro-jetted prep

We hydro-jet the host pipe spotless so the resin liner bonds correctly. No shortcut here — clean wall, good cure, long-life liner.

Trenchless Pipe Lining uses field-saturated CIPP liner

We wet-out the felt liner with two-part epoxy on site, custom-sized to your run. No pre-mixed inventory, no expired resin.

Trenchless Pipe Lining is verified with a second scope

After the cure, we run a second camera scope end to end. You watch the new pipe-within-a-pipe and keep both videos on a USB.

SIMPLE PROCESS

The Trenchless Pipe Lining process, step by step.

Same five-step Trenchless Pipe Lining sequence on every residential job — whether the run is 28 feet or 280 feet. Here's how it actually works.

Camera-scope the line before any Trenchless Pipe Lining work.
Step 1

Camera-scope the line before any Trenchless Pipe Lining work.

Every Trenchless Pipe Lining project starts with a high-resolution sewer camera. We map cracks, offsets, root mass, and city-tap geometry — so the liner spec matches the real line, not a guess.

Step 2

Hydro-jet the host pipe so the Trenchless Pipe Lining can bond.

A pressurized water jet strips the host pipe wall clean. Trenchless Pipe Lining requires a spotless interior — any grease, scale, or root debris gets cleared before the liner ever sees the line.

Step 3

Wet-out the felt liner with the Trenchless Pipe Lining resin.

We field-saturate a felt liner with a two-part epoxy resin custom-sized to your run. The Trenchless Pipe Lining is mixed on site so the cure window matches the install temperature.

Pull-in-place and cure the Trenchless Pipe Lining inside the host pipe.
Step 4

Pull-in-place & cure the Trenchless Pipe Lining inside the host pipe.

The liner is pulled into the host pipe, inflated tight against the wall, and cured with ambient or steam-assisted heat. The Trenchless Pipe Lining becomes a smooth, jointless structural pipe inside the old one.

Camera-verify the finished Trenchless Pipe Lining end to end.
Step 5

Camera-verify the finished Trenchless Pipe Lining end to end.

A second camera scope walks the cured line from cleanout to city tap. You watch the finished Trenchless Pipe Lining on screen, sign off, and keep both the before and after videos on a USB drive.

BEFORE & AFTER

Trenchless Pipe Lining, before and after: a Dilworth case.

A 1924 Dilworth bungalow with a 28-foot cast-iron main and a 90-degree clay-to-cast-iron transition that had become a root trap. Our Trenchless Pipe Lining install rebuilt the entire run in a single day — no excavation, no broken concrete, mature oak intact.

Almost every Trenchless Pipe Lining repair we run in Charlotte follows the same arc: scope, prep, line, cure, verify. One day on site, one flat price, a 50-year-rated pipe-within-a-pipe.

We had a plumbing emergency around the holiday's and called a local plumbing company. They cleared the line and quoted a pretty high price to dig up my yard and fix the damaged sewer line. The next day I found LiningWorks online and called Jeremiah. He was very helpful and confident they could fix my sewer line without digging. Seemed too good to be true. The lining has been installed, yard not damaged and looks to have resolved the break. Jeremiah even offered to come back and scope it at a later time to ensure it's all good. Highly recommend Lining Works for any situation where you can't or don't want to dig. Thanks guys!

LiningWorks was top notch. We had a sewer main that got damaged and was completely blocked up. They were able to clear the drain, remove all issues, and reline the entire sewer main without cutting out my driveway and yard. And they were able to get the job done in one day. I would and plan to do business these guys again in the future and would highly recommend them to others.

Where do I begin? Let's just say I had an absolute nightmare on my hands for about 5 years with my sewage. I had one company quote me 7k after he snaked my sewage line and from there I just kept snaking it every year. I dreaded the oncoming financial disaster but I bit the bullet and called LiningWorks. BEST home decision of 5 years. Jeremiah came out and tackled this chaos with grace and integrity. He got down to the root of it — after years of money, anxiety, and frustration he found out it was a city problem! I will definitely be calling LiningWorks when my lining needs replacing. Call them now, you will not be disappointed.

I received an estimate and the job did exceed the original estimate. I contacted them about it and they were very understanding and explained why.

The main drain line in our airbnb kept clogging up, filling the house with an awful sewage smell. We had drain cleaners come out to clear the line every couple months but it finally got so bad we had to close off our bookings. LiningWorks were very prompt in coming out. We discovered tree roots had broken up our line. Our sewage line runs under a tree and 6ft deep through our crawlspace so digging it up was going to be a nightmare. Liningworks was able to cut the tree roots out and line the pipe without any digging so that it's as good as new. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing sewage line repair.

FAQ

Trenchless CIPP Lining — Frequently Asked Questions

Short, honest answers — same way we'd explain it on the phone.

CIPP (Cured-In-Place Pipe) lining inserts a resin-saturated liner into your existing pipe and cures it — creating a smooth, seamless new pipe inside the old one without any excavation.

CIPP liners are designed for a 50-year service life. The cured liner is typically smoother and more resistant to root intrusion and corrosion than the original pipe.

Yes. CIPP can be installed in clay, cast iron, PVC, orangeburg, and concrete pipe. The resin bonds to the host material regardless of age or original composition.

We line residential pipes from 3 to 12 inches in diameter and commercial pipes up to 60 inches. Most residential sewer laterals are 4-inch.
