Hydro Jetting that blasts your sewer line completely clean.

Hydro Jetting fires pressurized water through your sewer line at up to 4,000 PSI — stripping grease, scale, root debris, and sediment completely from the pipe wall. A snake cuts through a clog. Hydro Jetting removes it.

COMMON REASONS

When Hydro Jetting is the right call.

Snaking buys time. Hydro Jetting solves the problem. Four situations show up repeatedly on Charlotte jobs where a jetter is the only real answer.

Common Hydro Jetting situations:

Hydro Jetting for grease-lined kitchen drains

Restaurant-style grease builds inside residential lines over years. Hydro Jetting blasts the emulsified fat off the pipe wall completely — snaking just punches a hole through it.

Hydro Jetting for recurring root blockages

Roots that regrow between snakings need to be cleared with Hydro Jetting before a CIPP liner can cure. A jet-clean wall is required for proper liner bond.

Hydro Jetting for scale and mineral buildup

Hard-water scale and mineral deposits coat the inside of cast-iron and PVC lines over time. Hydro Jetting scrubs the pipe wall clean before that buildup causes a full restriction.

Hydro Jetting before CIPP lining or pipe bursting

Every LiningWorks trenchless repair includes a Hydro Jetting prep pass. A clean pipe wall is non-negotiable for liner bond and maximum HDPE seat.

CATCH PROBLEMS EARLY

Why Hydro Jetting is a timing decision.

Hydro Jetting is preventive when done on schedule — and emergency when done after a backup. Four good reasons to book it before the line forces the call.

Watch for these Hydro Jetting triggers:

  • Hydro Jetting before recurring slow drains become a backup
A line that drains slowly has partial grease or scale buildup. Scheduled Hydro Jetting at the slow-drain stage costs a fraction of emergency service after the backup.
  • Hydro Jetting prevents chemical drain cleaner damage
Repeated use of chemical drain cleaners corrodes cast-iron and PVC pipe walls. Hydro Jetting clears the same blockage with water only — no pipe wall degradation.
  • Hydro Jetting restores full capacity before the busy season
Holiday cooking dumps grease into kitchen lines. Hydro Jetting the main before heavy use eliminates the Thanksgiving-night emergency call.
  • Hydro Jetting is required prep before any trenchless lining
If a CIPP liner is in the future for this pipe, Hydro Jetting is step one — always. Scheduling the jet-clean now means the lining job can proceed the same week when you're ready.

SERVICE PROCESS

How our Hydro Jetting process holds up.

Hydro Jetting is a precision service — pressure, nozzle selection, and flow rate all matter. Four standards make every LiningWorks jetting job consistent.

Hydro Jetting starts with a camera scope

We scope the line before jetting to confirm there are no collapses or failed sections that would make high-pressure water counterproductive. The camera footage also benchmarks cleanliness after jetting.

Hydro Jetting uses the correct nozzle for the blockage type

Grease, roots, scale, and sediment each call for a different jetting nozzle. We carry rotating, penetrating, and chain-flail heads — and select the right one for your line condition.

Hydro Jetting runs upstream-to-downstream for complete flush

We enter at the upstream cleanout and jet downstream, so debris flushes out rather than packing behind the nozzle. The result is a completely clear line — not just an opened clog.

Hydro Jetting is verified with a post-jet camera scope

After jetting, we run the camera again. You see the pipe wall — clean, full-diameter, smooth. Both before and after camera footage are saved to a USB drive for your records.

SIMPLE PROCESS

The Hydro Jetting process, step by step.

Same five-step Hydro Jetting sequence on every residential job — whether the run is 28 feet or 280 feet. Here's how it actually works.

Camera scope before Hydro Jetting.
Step 1

Camera-scope the line before any Hydro Jetting.

We run a pre-jetting camera to confirm no collapsed sections, map the blockage type, and set the appropriate pressure and nozzle spec for the Hydro Jetting pass.

Cleanout access for Hydro Jetting.
Step 2

Locate the cleanout and stage the Hydro Jetting equipment.

We find the accessible cleanout closest to the blockage, connect the jetter, and select the appropriate nozzle head. Upstream entry is the standard for effective debris flushing.

Step 3

Feed the Hydro Jetting nozzle to the blockage point.

The jetting hose is fed into the cleanout toward the blockage. We control pressure and flow rate as the nozzle approaches — the Hydro Jetting process starts before the clog to clear loosened debris path.

Step 4

Hydro Jetting blasts debris downstream and scrubs the pipe wall.

At full pressure, the rotating Hydro Jetting nozzle strips grease, scale, and root fibers from the pipe wall and flushes debris out to the city main. Multiple passes ensure the full pipe wall is cleaned.

Camera verify the pipe after Hydro Jetting.
Step 5

Camera-verify the finished Hydro Jetting result end to end.

A post-jetting camera walk confirms a clear, full-diameter, clean pipe wall. You see the before and after side by side on screen and leave with both videos on a USB drive.

BEFORE & AFTER

Hydro Jetting, before and after: a Dilworth case.

A 1960s Dilworth home with a 38-foot kitchen-to-main run completely coated in 3/8-inch grease buildup — flow was down to a trickle. Our Hydro Jetting pass opened the full bore in 45 minutes. The post-jetting camera showed bare pipe wall from cleanout to city tap.

That pattern repeats on nearly every Hydro Jetting job we run in Charlotte: scope, identify, jet, verify. One service visit, one clean line. When the camera showed root fibers at two joints after the jetting on this job, we quoted a CIPP liner right then — and the homeowner booked it the same day.

We had a plumbing emergency around the holiday's and called a local plumbing company. They cleared the line and quoted a pretty high price to dig up my yard and fix the damaged sewer line. The next day I found LiningWorks online and called Jeremiah. He was very helpful and confident they could fix my sewer line without digging. Seemed too good to be true. The lining has been installed, yard not damaged and looks to have resolved the break. Jeremiah even offered to come back and scope it at a later time to ensure it's all good. Highly recommend Lining Works for any situation where you can't or don't want to dig. Thanks guys!

LiningWorks was top notch. We had a sewer main that got damaged and was completely blocked up. They were able to clear the drain, remove all issues, and reline the entire sewer main without cutting out my driveway and yard. And they were able to get the job done in one day. I would and plan to do business these guys again in the future and would highly recommend them to others.

Where do I begin? Let's just say I had an absolute nightmare on my hands for about 5 years with my sewage. I had one company quote me 7k after he snaked my sewage line and from there I just kept snaking it every year. I dreaded the oncoming financial disaster but I bit the bullet and called LiningWorks. BEST home decision of 5 years. Jeremiah came out and tackled this chaos with grace and integrity. He got down to the root of it — after years of money, anxiety, and frustration he found out it was a city problem! I will definitely be calling LiningWorks when my lining needs replacing. Call them now, you will not be disappointed.

The main drain line in our airbnb kept clogging up, filling the house with an awful sewage smell. We had drain cleaners come out to clear the line every couple months but it finally got so bad we had to close off our bookings. LiningWorks were very prompt in coming out. We discovered tree roots had broken up our line. Our sewage line runs under a tree and 6ft deep through our crawlspace so digging it up was going to be a nightmare. Liningworks was able to cut the tree roots out and line the pipe without any digging so that it's as good as new. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing sewage line repair.

FAQ

Hydro Jetting — Frequently Asked Questions

Short, honest answers about high-pressure drain and sewer cleaning.

Hydro Jetting uses high-pressure water — up to 4,000 PSI — to completely clear and clean sewer and drain lines. Unlike snaking, which only punches a hole through a clog, Hydro Jetting removes all buildup from the pipe wall.

Most residential Hydro Jetting service calls in Charlotte take two to three hours, including the pre- and post-jetting camera scopes. Heavily scaled or root-infested lines may require additional passes.

Yes, when done correctly. We scope the line before jetting to confirm there are no collapse sections or paper-thin pipe walls that would make high pressure counterproductive. Most cast-iron and PVC lines in Charlotte handle Hydro Jetting without issue.

Most residential sewer lines benefit from Hydro Jetting every two to three years as preventive maintenance. Lines under large trees or older homes with cast-iron pipe may need annual service.

Hydro Jetting done by a licensed crew after a pre-jetting camera scope does not damage structurally sound pipes. We adjust pressure based on the pipe material and condition observed on camera — never a one-size-fits-all setting.
