WHY HOMEOWNERS TRUST US
Why Charlotte homeowners call LiningWorks first about Sewage Backups.
Sewage backups cannot wait for a quote process that takes three days. We move fast, diagnose accurately, and fix the problem the first time — not just the symptom.
Sewage Backups diagnosed by a licensed plumber
NC Plumbing License #16952. Every sewage backup call is handled by a licensed technician from first call to final verification.
Sewage Backups confirmed by camera before any quote
We never guess at the cause of a sewage backup. The camera goes down the line and you see the blockage — roots, debris, or collapsed pipe — before we quote anything.
Sewage Backups cleared at a flat, written rate
One flat price, agreed before we start. No emergency surcharges buried in the invoice, no hourly billing during a stressful sewage backup.
Sewage Backups resolved without excavating your yard
Most sewage backups are caused by blockages or pipe damage we can address trenchlessly — through the cleanout, no digging required.
Sewage Backups warning signs you should never ignore.
Sewage backups rarely happen without warning signs. If you catch these four patterns early, you can address the cause before wastewater reaches your floor.
Watch for these Sewage Backups warning signs:
Sewage Backups in the floor drain first
Floor drains are the lowest point in your drain system. Water appearing in a basement or utility room floor drain — especially when you flush or run a dishwasher — means the main line is nearly blocked.
Multiple fixtures backing up at the same time
When the toilet, tub, and kitchen sink all back up together, it is a main-line sewage backup, not individual clogs. The blockage is past where all those branches meet.
Gurgling sounds before a Sewage Backup
Air forced backward through a partially blocked line creates a gurgle in toilets and floor drains minutes before a full sewage backup. This is your last warning sign.
Sewage smell without visible backup
Sewage gas escaping ahead of a backup means standing wastewater is already sitting in the line. The backup is coming — call before it arrives on your floor.
The most common causes of Sewage Backups in Charlotte homes.
Every sewage backup has a specific cause inside the line. Here are the four we find most often during camera inspections in Charlotte, Greensboro, and Winston-Salem.
How Sewage Backups develop:
Root mass blockage causing Sewage Backups
A root mass that has grown across the pipe bore allows water through at first, then catches wipes and grease until nothing can pass. The result is a total sewage backup.
Collapsed or offset pipe section causing Sewage Backups
A pipe that has failed structurally — cracked vertically or at a joint — can collapse inward and block the flow entirely, causing an immediate sewage backup.
Grease and wipes accumulation causing Sewage Backups
Fats, oils, and “flushable” wipes combine into a dense, tar-like mass in the main line. This type of sewage backup is common in kitchen-heavy households and older buildings.
City main surcharge causing home Sewage Backups
During heavy rainfall, a surcharge in the municipal sewer main can push flow back through your lateral into your home. A backflow prevention device or lateral liner reduces this risk significantly.
A Dilworth homeowner called us after wastewater came up through every basement floor drain during a heavy rain. Camera inspection found a combined root mass and grease plug at the city-tap connection 52 feet from the cleanout. We cleared the main line and CIPP-lined the full lateral the same day.
Sewage backups caused by main-line issues almost always have a definitive camera-confirmed fix. The same-day quote and repair process means you are not waiting days with an unusable bathroom.

We had a plumbing emergency around the holiday's and called a local plumbing company. They cleared the line and quoted a pretty high price to dig up my yard and fix the damaged sewer line. The next day I found LiningWorks online and called Jeremiah. He was very helpful and confident they could fix my sewer line without digging. Seemed too good to be true. The lining has been installed, yard not damaged and looks to have resolved the break. Jeremiah even offered to come back and scope it at a later time to ensure it's all good. Highly recommend Lining Works for any situation where you can't or don't want to dig. Thanks guys!

LiningWorks was top notch. We had a sewer main that got damaged and was completely blocked up. They were able to clear the drain, remove all issues, and reline the entire sewer main without cutting out my driveway and yard. And they were able to get the job done in one day. I would and plan to do business these guys again in the future and would highly recommend them to others.

Where do I begin? Let's just say I had an absolute nightmare on my hands for about 5 years with my sewage. I had one company quote me 7k after he snaked my sewage line and from there I just kept snaking it every year. I dreaded the oncoming financial disaster but I bit the bullet and called LiningWorks. BEST home decision of 5 years. Jeremiah came out and tackled this chaos with grace and integrity. He got down to the root of it — after years of money, anxiety, and frustration he found out it was a city problem! I will definitely be calling LiningWorks when my lining needs replacing. Call them now, you will not be disappointed.

I am very happy with the work that was done and the clean up after the job was done. Jeremiah and Ralph are very professional and skilled in their craft. I received an estimate and the job did exceed the original estimate. I contacted them about it and they were very understanding and explained why.

The main drain line in our airbnb kept clogging up, filling the house with an awful sewage smell. We had drain cleaners come out to clear the line every couple months but it finally got so bad we had to close off our bookings. LiningWorks were very prompt in coming out. We discovered tree roots had broken up our line. Our sewage line runs under a tree and 6ft deep through our crawlspace so digging it up was going to be a nightmare. Liningworks was able to cut the tree roots out and line the pipe without any digging so that it's as good as new. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing sewage line repair.
