COMMON REASONS

When Sewer Camera Diagnostics is the right first step.

Sewer Camera Diagnostics is the foundation of every drain cleaning solution we recommend. Four situations call for a camera scope before any other service is performed.

Common Sewer Camera Diagnostics situations:

Sewer Camera Diagnostics for recurring drain problems

If the same drain blocks every few months, a camera scope reveals why — grease coating, root regrowth, structural collapse, or belly. Sewer Camera Diagnostics ends the guessing and targets the real cause.

Sewer Camera Diagnostics before buying or selling a home

A pre-purchase Sewer Camera Diagnostics scope reveals drain condition that no home inspection covers. Know the true state of every drain before you close — or before you list.

Sewer Camera Diagnostics after a slow drain clears temporarily

A drain that cleared on its own after backing up is telling you something. Sewer Camera Diagnostics locates the partial blockage or structural defect that caused it before it becomes a full backup.

Sewer Camera Diagnostics for root-intrusion verification

If you have mature trees near your drain lines, Sewer Camera Diagnostics confirms whether roots have entered the pipe and how severely — so you can schedule hydro jetting or CIPP lining before the next backup.

CATCH PROBLEMS EARLY

Why Sewer Camera Diagnostics is a timing decision.

A camera scope performed while a drain is slow is far more useful than one performed after a backup. Four reasons to book Sewer Camera Diagnostics before the drain gives up entirely.

Watch for these Sewer Camera Diagnostics triggers:

  • Sewer Camera Diagnostics catches cracks before they collapse
A cracked drain is a lining candidate. A collapsed drain is an excavation job. Sewer Camera Diagnostics performed on a slow-draining line catches the crack at the stage where the least invasive repair is still on the table.
  • Sewer Camera Diagnostics reveals root mass before it displaces joints
Fine root tendrils visible on camera flush out with a hydro-jetter. A root mass large enough to displace the joint is a structural repair — Sewer Camera Diagnostics determines which stage you are at.
  • Sewer Camera Diagnostics prevents repeat snaking visits
If you have had the same drain snaked three times in a year, a camera scope will show why it keeps blocking. One diagnostic visit is almost always cheaper than a fourth snaking with no resolution.
  • Sewer Camera Diagnostics gives you documentation
Video footage of your drain condition is the only objective evidence that exists. It is what we use to spec every repair, and it is what you keep on a USB drive to show future plumbers, home inspectors, and buyers.

SERVICE PROCESS

How our Sewer Camera Diagnostics process works.

A Sewer Camera Diagnostics visit is only as useful as the camera quality, the tech's reading of the footage, and the written report that follows. Four standards make every LiningWorks diagnostic visit consistent.

Sewer Camera Diagnostics uses HD push-camera technology

Our camera heads are high-definition, with on-board lighting and a rotating lens that inspects the full 360° of the pipe wall. No blind spots, no guessing from a blurry image.

Sewer Camera Diagnostics locates defects to the inch

The camera head tracks footage footage distance in real time. Every defect is located to the foot from the cleanout — so a repair spec is accurate before any work begins.

Sewer Camera Diagnostics footage is recorded and saved

The entire Sewer Camera Diagnostics inspection is recorded. You watch on a monitor during the scope and keep the video on a USB drive — before and after any repair we perform.

Sewer Camera Diagnostics report includes a flat-rate repair recommendation

After the scope, we walk you through the footage and recommend the right solution — with a flat-rate price for that specific repair. No hourly estimates, no vague ranges.

BEFORE & AFTER

Sewer Camera Diagnostics, before and after: a NoDa case.

A NoDa homeowner with a drain that had been snaked four times in eighteen months — always by a different company, always the same result two months later. A single Sewer Camera Diagnostics scope found a 12-foot section of clay-tile drain with full root intrusion that snaking had never removed completely. One hydro-jet visit followed by CIPP lining ended the annual snaking visits permanently.

That is the value of Sewer Camera Diagnostics: the camera shows what four snake visits never revealed. Most drainage problems we diagnose in Charlotte have a clear, fixable cause — and Sewer Camera Diagnostics is the only way to find it without guessing.

We had a plumbing emergency around the holiday's and called a local plumbing company. They cleared the line and quoted a pretty high price to dig up my yard and fix the damaged sewer line. The next day I found LiningWorks online and called Jeremiah. He was very helpful and confident they could fix my sewer line without digging. Seemed too good to be true. The lining has been installed, yard not damaged and looks to have resolved the break. Jeremiah even offered to come back and scope it at a later time to ensure it's all good. Highly recommend Lining Works for any situation where you can't or don't want to dig. Thanks guys!

LiningWorks was top notch. We had a sewer main that got damaged and was completely blocked up. They were able to clear the drain, remove all issues, and reline the entire sewer main without cutting out my driveway and yard. And they were able to get the job done in one day. I would and plan to do business these guys again in the future and would highly recommend them to others.

Where do I begin? Let's just say I had an absolute nightmare on my hands for about 5 years with my sewage. I had one company quote me 7k after he snaked my sewage line and from there I just kept snaking it every year. I dreaded the oncoming financial disaster but I bit the bullet and called LiningWorks. BEST home decision of 5 years. Jeremiah came out and tackled this chaos with grace and integrity. He got down to the root of it — after years of money, anxiety, and frustration he found out it was a city problem! I will definitely be calling LiningWorks when my lining needs replacing. Call them now, you will not be disappointed.

I am very happy with the work that was done and the clean up after the job was done. Jeremiah and Ralph are very professional and skilled in their craft. I received an estimate and the job did exceed the original estimate. I contacted them about it and they were very understanding and explained why.

Lining Works was excellent to work with. They were perfectly professional. They were organized, efficient, and friendly throughout the whole process. They took time to answer all of our questions. Pipe lining is an incredible option and the team at Lining Works couldn't have been better. They were also transparent, honest, and consistent with their cost/pricing. We couldn't be happier. We feel very fortunate that we found Lining Works. Great guys!

The main drain line in our airbnb kept clogging up, filling the house with an awful sewage smell. We had drain cleaners come out to clear the line every couple months but it finally got so bad we had to close off our bookings. LiningWorks were very prompt in coming out. We discovered tree roots had broken up our line. Our sewage line runs under a tree and 6ft deep through our crawlspace so digging it up was going to be a nightmare. Liningworks was able to cut the tree roots out and line the pipe without any digging so that it's as good as new. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing sewage line repair.

FAQ

Sewer Camera Diagnostics — Frequently Asked Questions

Short, honest answers — same way we'd explain it on the phone.

Camera diagnostics identifies root intrusion, cracks, offset joints, bellied pipe, grease buildup, and collapsed sections — giving you a clear picture of exactly what's wrong before any repair decision.

Yes. We walk you through the footage in real time and provide a copy before we leave. You see exactly what we see.

Most residential inspections take 45 to 90 minutes including setup, inspection, and a walkthrough of findings.

We recommend it. Cleaning blind can miss structural issues — and in some cases, aggressive cleaning on a compromised pipe does more harm. The camera tells us what approach is appropriate.
