DRAIN CLEANING SOLUTION · CHARLOTTE, NC

Hydro Jetting that clears drains in a single pass.

Hydro Jetting uses water pressurized to 4,000 PSI to blast grease, mineral scale, root tendrils, and debris from drain lines in one pass. No chemicals, no residue, and the pipe walls come out cleaner than a snake ever leaves them.

COMMON REASONS

When Hydro Jetting is the right drain cleaning call.

Hydro Jetting is the highest-power drain cleaning method we carry. Four situations call for it over a standard snake every time.

Common Hydro Jetting situations:

Hydro Jetting for grease-packed kitchen drains

Cooking grease coats cast iron and PVC walls in thick, sticky layers. Hydro Jetting strips the pipe wall clean in one pass — snaking just punches a hole through the centre.

Hydro Jetting for root-invaded sewer laterals

Fine root tendrils that have entered through joints flush out completely under 4,000 PSI water. Hydro Jetting removes the root mass without a separate cutting head in most cases.

Hydro Jetting for recurring or repeat blockages

If snaking clears a drain but it blocks again within weeks, the walls are coated. Hydro Jetting removes the coating — the root cause — so blockages stop recurring.

Hydro Jetting to prep a line before lining

CIPP liner resin only bonds to a clean pipe wall. Hydro Jetting is the mandatory prep step before any trenchless drain lining — descaling follows for cast iron.

CATCH PROBLEMS EARLY

Why Hydro Jetting is a timing decision.

Hydro Jetting works best while the drain still flows, even slowly. Four reasons to schedule a jetting service before the blockage reaches zero flow.

Watch for these Hydro Jetting triggers:

  • Hydro Jetting is easier before grease hardens completely
Soft grease emulsifies and flushes in one pass. Hardened, baked-on grease may require descaling before jetting can reach the pipe wall — a second mobilisation and a larger job.
  • Hydro Jetting catches roots before they displace joints
Fine root tendrils flush out cleanly. Thick root masses that have pushed joints out of alignment turn a drain cleaning visit into a structural repair conversation.
  • Hydro Jetting a partial blockage costs less than an emergency
A slow drain you can schedule. A completely blocked drain is usually an emergency callout — with the after-hours rate that comes with it.
  • Hydro Jetting reveals hidden damage before it worsens
We camera-scope before every jetting job. Small cracks visible now can be lined. Cracks that grow to collapses cannot — catching them early keeps trenchless repair on the table.

SERVICE PROCESS

How our Hydro Jetting process holds up.

A Hydro Jetting job is only as effective as the nozzle choice, the pressure setting, and the pre-job camera. Four standards make every LiningWorks jetting visit consistent.

Hydro Jetting starts with HD camera diagnosis

Every Hydro Jetting job opens with a camera scope. We confirm the blockage type, pipe material, and any structural issues before we pressurize — the camera tells us which nozzle and what pressure.

Hydro Jetting uses nozzle-matched pressure

Rotating nozzles for grease, penetrating nozzles for root mass, chain-flail for scale. We match the nozzle and the PSI to what the camera found — not a single setting for every job.

Hydro Jetting works from the obstruction outward

We insert downstream of the blockage and work toward the main. This keeps dislodged debris moving in the right direction and prevents it from packing further into the line.

Hydro Jetting is verified with a second camera scope

After jetting, we run a second camera from cleanout to main. You see the cleared pipe wall on screen and keep both videos — before and after — on a USB drive.

SIMPLE PROCESS

The Hydro Jetting process, step by step.

Same five-step Hydro Jetting sequence on every residential job in Charlotte. Here is exactly how it works.

Camera-scope the drain before any Hydro Jetting work.
Step 1

Camera-scope the drain before any Hydro Jetting work.

Every Hydro Jetting project starts with a high-resolution sewer camera. We map the blockage type, location, and pipe condition — so the pressure setting and nozzle match what is actually in the line.

Set up the Hydro Jetting rig and select the right nozzle.
Step 2

Set up the Hydro Jetting rig and select the right nozzle.

We match the Hydro Jetting nozzle to the blockage — rotating nozzle for grease, penetrating nozzle for root mass, carbide head for scale. The wrong nozzle at the wrong PSI can damage fragile pipe.

Insert downstream and jet toward the cleanout.
Step 3

Insert downstream and jet toward the cleanout.

The Hydro Jetting hose goes downstream of the blockage. Water pressure at up to 4,000 PSI moves debris in the correct direction — toward the main, not deeper into the line.

Talk to a Drain Cleaning Tech
Flush the line and confirm full flow.
Step 4

Flush the line and confirm full flow.

After the main Hydro Jetting pass, we flush the line with clear water and watch the flow rate. A partially cleared blockage gets a second pass before we declare the job done.

Talk to a Drain Cleaning Tech
Camera-verify the cleaned pipe wall after Hydro Jetting.
Step 5

Camera-verify the cleaned pipe wall after Hydro Jetting.

A second camera scope confirms the pipe wall is clear. You watch the Hydro Jetting result on screen, sign off on the cleared line, and keep both videos — before and after — on a USB drive.

BEFORE & AFTER

Hydro Jetting, before and after: a South End case.

A South End restaurant with a grease trap on a 6-inch cast-iron kitchen drain. Years of cooking grease had reduced the effective bore to less than an inch. Snaking cleared it for a week at a time — Hydro Jetting cleared it for good. One jetting visit, one camera verification, no recurrence in eight months.

Most Hydro Jetting jobs we run in Charlotte follow the same arc: camera, nozzle selection, downstream insertion, pressurized flush, second camera. One visit, one flat price, pipe walls clean from end to end.

We had a plumbing emergency around the holiday's and called a local plumbing company. They cleared the line and quoted a pretty high price to dig up my yard and fix the damaged sewer line. The next day I found LiningWorks online and called Jeremiah. He was very helpful and confident they could fix my sewer line without digging. Seemed too good to be true. The lining has been installed, yard not damaged and looks to have resolved the break. Jeremiah even offered to come back and scope it at a later time to ensure it's all good. Highly recommend Lining Works for any situation where you can't or don't want to dig. Thanks guys!

LiningWorks was top notch. We had a sewer main that got damaged and was completely blocked up. They were able to clear the drain, remove all issues, and reline the entire sewer main without cutting out my driveway and yard. And they were able to get the job done in one day. I would and plan to do business these guys again in the future and would highly recommend them to others.

Where do I begin? Let's just say I had an absolute nightmare on my hands for about 5 years with my sewage. I had one company quote me 7k after he snaked my sewage line and from there I just kept snaking it every year. I dreaded the oncoming financial disaster but I bit the bullet and called LiningWorks. BEST home decision of 5 years. Jeremiah came out and tackled this chaos with grace and integrity. He got down to the root of it — after years of money, anxiety, and frustration he found out it was a city problem! I will definitely be calling LiningWorks when my lining needs replacing. Call them now, you will not be disappointed.

Lining Works was excellent to work with. They were perfectly professional. They were organized, efficient, and friendly throughout the whole process. They took time to answer all of our questions. Pipe lining is an incredible option and the team at Lining Works couldn't have been better. They were also transparent, honest, and consistent with their cost/pricing. We couldn't be happier. We feel very fortunate that we found Lining Works. Great guys!

The main drain line in our airbnb kept clogging up, filling the house with an awful sewage smell. We had drain cleaners come out to clear the line every couple months but it finally got so bad we had to close off our bookings. LiningWorks were very prompt in coming out. We discovered tree roots had broken up our line. Our sewage line runs under a tree and 6ft deep through our crawlspace so digging it up was going to be a nightmare. Liningworks was able to cut the tree roots out and line the pipe without any digging so that it's as good as new. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing sewage line repair.

FAQ

Hydro Jetting Drain Cleaning — Frequently Asked Questions

Short, honest answers — same way we'd explain it on the phone.

Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water — typically 3,000–4,000 PSI — to blast grease, scale, debris, and root mass completely out of drain and sewer lines.

Yes, when done after a camera inspection. We scope the line first to confirm pipe condition, then adjust pressure to match the material and age of your pipes.

Snaking punches a hole through a clog. Hydro jetting scrubs the entire pipe wall clean — removing grease, scale, and debris that snaking leaves behind.

For residential drains, every two to three years as preventive maintenance. Grease traps and commercial kitchen lines typically need annual service.
