WHY HOMEOWNERS TRUST US
Why Charlotte homeowners call LiningWorks first for Standing Water.
Standing water is a drainage failure that gets worse with every rain or shower. Four things make our standing water diagnosis different.
Licensed crew diagnoses your Standing Water problem
NC Plumbing License #16952. Standing water around drains has multiple possible causes — licensed diagnosis ensures we identify the right one.
Camera confirms the cause of Standing Water
Before we quote anything, we run an HD camera to find the restriction, belly, or failure creating the standing water condition.
Flat-rate pricing for Standing Water diagnosis and clearance
One price before we start. Camera inspection, clearance, and post-service verification all included.
Standing Water problem resolved without digging
Most standing water causes — drain blockages, pipe bellies — are addressed by hydro jetting, snaking, or trenchless lining. No excavation in most cases.
Four standing water situations that need professional diagnosis.
Standing water around drains looks different depending on where it appears. These four situations each point to a different part of the drain system.
Standing Water situations we diagnose and clear:
Standing Water in the tub or shower after every use
Water that sits in the tub 30+ minutes after showering means the branch drain line is significantly restricted — not just a hair-clogged stopper.
Standing Water around basement floor drains after rain
Basement floor drains that back up during or after rain usually signal a blockage in the floor-drain trap or lateral — not just a city main capacity issue.
Standing Water pooling in the yard above the drain line
Wet ground or grass growing unusually fast directly above your sewer lateral usually means the pipe is cracked and leaking groundwater and waste into the surrounding soil.
Standing Water in a laundry or utility drain
Laundry drain standing water after a wash cycle means the standpipe or utility drain lateral is blocked or undersized for the appliance flow rate. Camera confirms which.
The most common causes of Standing Water around drains.
Standing water near drains points to a drainage system failure. These four causes account for the majority of standing water calls we receive in Charlotte.
What causes Standing Water around drains:
Drain blockage causing Standing Water at fixtures
A heavily restricted branch drain holds water at the fixture. Standing water from a blockage is almost always resolved by hydro jetting or snaking with a camera to confirm clearance.
Pipe belly causing Standing Water at the low point
A settled section of pipe traps water and waste at the sag. Mechanical clearance drains the belly temporarily — lining or relaying the bellied section is the permanent fix.
Root intrusion trapping Standing Water in the line
A root mass in the main line creates a partial dam that holds standing water above it. Hydro jetting removes the root mass; a spot liner seals the entry crack.
Cracked pipe causing Standing Water in the yard
A crack in the lateral leaks wastewater into the surrounding soil, creating wet patches above the pipe run. Camera inspection locates the crack; a liner seals it without excavation.
Standing Water, fixed: a South Charlotte floor drain.
A South Charlotte homeowner had standing water around a basement floor drain after every heavy rain for a year. The camera found a grease and debris blockage at the floor-drain trap, plus a root intrusion 22 feet into the lateral that was backing up during high-flow events.
We hydro-jetted the trap blockage and the root mass, then applied a spot liner at the root entry crack. No standing water after three subsequent heavy rain events. Flat price, one visit.

We had a plumbing emergency around the holiday's and called a local plumbing company. They cleared the line and quoted a pretty high price to dig up my yard and fix the damaged sewer line. The next day I found LiningWorks online and called Jeremiah. He was very helpful and confident they could fix my sewer line without digging. Seemed too good to be true. The lining has been installed, yard not damaged and looks to have resolved the break. Jeremiah even offered to come back and scope it at a later time to ensure it's all good. Highly recommend Lining Works for any situation where you can't or don't want to dig. Thanks guys!

LiningWorks was top notch. We had a sewer main that got damaged and was completely blocked up. They were able to clear the drain, remove all issues, and reline the entire sewer main without cutting out my driveway and yard. And they were able to get the job done in one day. I would and plan to do business these guys again in the future and would highly recommend them to others.

Where do I begin? Let's just say I had an absolute nightmare on my hands for about 5 years with my sewage. I had one company quote me 7k after he snaked my sewage line and from there I just kept snaking it every year. I dreaded the oncoming financial disaster but I bit the bullet and called LiningWorks. BEST home decision of 5 years. Jeremiah came out and tackled this chaos with grace and integrity. He got down to the root of it — after years of money, anxiety, and frustration he found out it was a city problem! I will definitely be calling LiningWorks when my lining needs replacing. Call them now, you will not be disappointed.

I am very happy with the work that was done and the clean up after the job was done. Jeremiah and Ralph are very professional and skilled in their craft. I received an estimate and the job did exceed the original estimate. I contacted them about it and they were very understanding and explained why.

The main drain line in our airbnb kept clogging up, filling the house with an awful sewage smell. We had drain cleaners come out to clear the line every couple months but it finally got so bad we had to close off our bookings. LiningWorks were very prompt in coming out. We discovered tree roots had broken up our line. Our sewage line runs under a tree and 6ft deep through our crawlspace so digging it up was going to be a nightmare. Liningworks was able to cut the tree roots out and line the pipe without any digging so that it's as good as new. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing sewage line repair.
