SERVICE · COMMERCIAL TRENCHLESS REPAIR

Stormwater System Rehabilitation that restores capacity and structural integrity from the inside out.

Stormwater pipe systems — storm drains, catch basins, culverts, and detention outlet structures — accumulate sediment, develop structural failures, and lose hydraulic capacity as they age. LiningWorks stormwater system rehabilitation uses CIPP lining, hydro jetting, and spot repair to restore these systems without excavation.

WHAT IT IS

What stormwater system rehabilitation actually restores.

Stormwater rehabilitation addresses two things simultaneously: structural failure (cracks, joint separation, wall corrosion) and hydraulic capacity loss (sediment accumulation, root intrusion, cross-section reduction). Both affect the system's ability to handle design storm flows.

LiningWorks starts every stormwater rehabilitation with a camera inspection of the system. We identify structural defects, measure sediment accumulation, and assess pipe material condition before developing a rehabilitation scope — so the right intervention is applied at each location.

CIPP lining seals structural defects and restores pipe wall integrity. Hydro jetting removes sediment and root accumulation. Spot repairs address isolated collapse points. These methods are combined in a phased program designed around the system's actual condition — not a one-size-fits-all approach.

WHAT STORMWATER REHABILITATION ADDRESSES

Four stormwater system failure types LiningWorks rehabilitates trenchlessly.

Stormwater systems fail through different mechanisms than sanitary sewer systems — sediment loading, abrasion, and freeze-thaw cycling create unique deterioration patterns.

  • Structural pipe failure — joint separation, cracking, and collapse
RCP, CMP, and HDPE storm drain pipes develop joint failures and wall cracks that allow soil migration into the pipe — progressive void formation and eventual surface settlement above.
  • Sediment accumulation reducing hydraulic capacity
Storm drain pipes accumulate gravel, sand, and organic debris at low-gradient sections — progressively reducing flow cross-section until design storm flows cause surface flooding.
  • Root intrusion at pipe joints and cracks
Tree roots enter storm drain pipes through joint gaps and wall cracks. Root masses trap sediment, accelerate structural deterioration, and eventually cause complete flow obstruction.
  • Metal pipe corrosion and wall loss in CMP culverts
Corrugated metal pipe culverts corrode from both inside and outside — wall loss reduces structural capacity and creates leak points that accelerate soil migration and sinkhole formation.

OUR STORMWATER REHABILITATION APPROACH

Four things that define LiningWorks stormwater system rehabilitation.

Stormwater rehabilitation is complex — different pipe sections require different interventions. Our camera-first approach ensures every decision is based on actual field conditions.

CCTV camera inspection of the full system before scoping

We scope every accessible pipe segment before developing a rehabilitation scope. Camera inspection identifies which segments need CIPP lining, jetting, spot repair, or monitoring.

Hydro jetting to restore design hydraulic capacity

Before lining, we jet all sediment, root accumulation, and debris from the system — restoring the full pipe cross-section for accurate camera assessment and liner installation.

CIPP lining for structural rehabilitation without excavation

CIPP liners are installed through existing manholes or access points — sealing all structural defects while restoring pipe wall integrity for design storm loading.

Post-rehabilitation CCTV verification and documentation

Every stormwater rehabilitation project closes with CCTV verification of the full rehabilitated system and a written documentation package.

BEFORE & AFTER

Retail center storm drain rehabilitation — 18-inch RCP system in Ballantyne.

An 18-inch RCP storm drain system under a Ballantyne retail center parking lot had developed joint separation at multiple locations — visible as void spaces on camera and confirmed by surface depressions above two pipe segments. Sediment accumulation at the midpoint had reduced hydraulic capacity by approximately 40%.

LiningWorks hydro-jetted the full system to restore design flow, then installed CIPP liners through all jointed pipe sections. Post-installation camera confirmed full liner bond and elimination of all joint gaps. The parking lot surface was not cut — all work was performed through existing curb-inlet access points.

“Two surface depressions in the parking lot that we’d been monitoring for two years were caused by void formation under failed storm drain joints. LiningWorks scoped it, jetted it, lined it, and verified it in a single mobilization. No surface cuts, no parking lot closure.”

WHY PROPERTY OWNERS CHOOSE LININGWORKS

What LiningWorks brings to stormwater system rehabilitation.

Stormwater rehabilitation requires assessment expertise, the right equipment for each intervention type, and documentation for property records.

Camera-first assessment — we scope before we recommend

Every stormwater rehabilitation recommendation is based on camera inspection. We identify what each segment actually needs before proposing any scope.

No excavation of parking areas or hardscape

CIPP lining and hydro jetting are performed through existing access points — no parking lot cuts, no hardscape demolition, no pavement restoration costs.

HOW TO GET STARTED

Get stormwater system rehabilitation started in three steps.

Camera assessment first — we identify what each segment needs before recommending any scope.

01

Call and describe the symptoms or known failures

336-477-3218, Mon–Sat 7AM–6PM. Surface depressions, flooding during storms, odors near drain inlets — describe what you’re seeing and we’ll recommend the right assessment approach.

02

Camera assessment of the stormwater system

We scope all accessible segments, assess pipe condition and sediment levels, and develop a prioritized rehabilitation scope based on actual camera findings.

03

Phased rehabilitation with post-installation verification

We implement the right combination of jetting, CIPP lining, and spot repair for each segment — verified by post-installation camera and documented with a written completion report.
