SOLUTION · COMMERCIAL TRENCHLESS REPAIR

Commercial CIPP structural lining rehabilitates pipe systems from the inside — no excavation required.

Cured-in-place pipe lining installs a structural liner inside the existing pipe through existing access points — sealing all joints, cracks, root entry points, and infiltration sources without excavating the pipe. LiningWorks installs CIPP structural liners in commercial, industrial, and municipal pipe systems across the Charlotte, Greensboro, and Winston-Salem region.

WHEN COMMERCIAL CIPP LINING IS RECOMMENDED

Four commercial pipe conditions that call for CIPP structural lining.

LiningWorks recommends CIPP structural lining when camera inspection confirms specific conditions where a continuous structural liner is the right solution.

Widespread joint failure across multiple segments

When camera inspection identifies joint failure at multiple locations across a pipe run, spot repair is less efficient than CIPP lining — which seals all joints simultaneously in a single liner installation.

Active infiltration through cracks and joint gaps

When groundwater or stormwater is confirmed infiltrating through pipe wall cracks and joint gaps, CIPP lining provides a continuous watertight barrier across the full liner run.

Structural corrosion or wall loss requiring load-bearing rehabilitation

When camera and inspection data indicate significant wall loss from H2S corrosion or erosion, structural CIPP liners are specified to carry full design loading independent of the host pipe.

Partial collapse where CIPP viability is confirmed by camera

Partial structural collapse conditions that have not reached complete failure are candidates for CIPP lining — which bridges the collapse section and restores full pipe cross-section.

HOW COMMERCIAL CIPP WORKS

The CIPP lining process for commercial pipe systems.

Commercial CIPP lining follows a defined process — from pre-installation camera through liner installation, cure, and post-installation verification.

  • CCTV camera inspection of the full pipe run before liner specification
Camera inspection documents all defects, measures pipe diameter and run length, confirms access point locations, and determines liner thickness requirements based on actual pipe conditions.
  • Hydro jetting to clean the pipe surface before liner installation
The pipe surface is hydro-jetted to remove scale, roots, sediment, and grease that would prevent full liner-to-pipe contact — ensuring complete liner bond after cure.
  • Liner inversion and resin cure through existing access points
The felt liner, saturated with thermoset resin, is inverted into the pipe through the existing manhole or cleanout — eliminating the need for any surface excavation. Steam or water cure hardens the liner to full structural specification.
  • Post-installation CCTV verification of the complete liner run
Post-installation camera inspection confirms full liner bond, checks for voids or wrinkles, and documents the completed installation for the project close-out record.

CIPP LINER SPECIFICATIONS

How LiningWorks specifies commercial CIPP liners.

Commercial CIPP liner specification is based on pipe material, diameter, depth, traffic loading, and the degree of host pipe deterioration — not a standard residential liner thickness.

Liner thickness specified for full structural independence where required

Where host pipe wall loss is significant, LiningWorks specifies structural CIPP liners rated to carry full design loading — soil weight, traffic loading, and hydrostatic pressure — independent of the host pipe.

Resin formulation selected for chemical resistance requirements

Liner resin is selected based on the chemical environment — standard polyester for municipal sewer systems, vinyl ester for process drain applications with chemical discharge.

Liner diameter maintained to within design specification after cure

Commercial CIPP liners are specified and installed to maintain design flow capacity after cure — liner wall thickness does not significantly reduce the functional pipe diameter for most commercial applications.

50+ year design service life

CIPP liners installed to ASTM F1216 specification are rated for a minimum 50-year service life in standard municipal and commercial applications — longer than many remaining host pipe design lives.

THE INSTALLATION PROCESS

Step-by-step — from camera assessment to completed installation.

Each phase builds on the last — camera first, surface preparation, liner installation, and post-installation CCTV verification.

01

Pre-installation CCTV

Full pipe run inspection, defect mapping, liner thickness specification, and access point confirmation.

02

Surface preparation

Hydro jetting removes all scale, roots, and debris to ensure full liner-to-pipe contact across the entire run.

03

Liner installation & CCTV verification

Resin-saturated liner is inverted through existing access and steam or water cured to spec. Post-installation camera confirms full bond and coverage.

BEFORE & AFTER

Municipal utility district — 1,200-foot concrete main rehabilitated with CIPP lining.

A municipal utility district serving a commercial industrial park had a 12-inch concrete gravity sewer main with widespread joint separation across the full run — confirmed by camera inspection showing water infiltration at approximately every third joint and advanced H2S crown corrosion in the downstream half of the run.

LiningWorks specified a structural CIPP liner accounting for measured crown wall loss and installed the full 1,200-foot run in a single mobilization through existing manhole access. Post-installation camera confirmed full liner bond with no voids or wrinkles throughout. The district's wet-weather flow monitoring showed a 78% reduction in infiltration volume in the 30 days following installation.

We had a plumbing emergency around the holiday's and called a local plumbing company. They cleared the line and quoted a pretty high price to dig up my yard and fix the damaged sewer line. The next day I found LiningWorks online and called Jeremiah. He was very helpful and confident they could fix my sewer line without digging. Seemed too good to be true. The lining has been installed, yard not damaged and looks to have resolved the break. Jeremiah even offered to come back and scope it at a later time to ensure it's all good. Highly recommend Lining Works for any situation where you can't or don't want to dig. Thanks guys!

LiningWorks was top notch. We had a sewer main that got damaged and was completely blocked up. They were able to clear the drain, remove all issues, and reline the entire sewer main without cutting out my driveway and yard. And they were able to get the job done in one day. I would and plan to do business these guys again in the future and would highly recommend them to others.

Where do I begin? Let's just say I had an absolute nightmare on my hands for about 5 years with my sewage. I had one company quote me 7k after he snaked my sewage line and from there I just kept snaking it every year. I dreaded the oncoming financial disaster but I bit the bullet and called LiningWorks. BEST home decision of 5 years. Jeremiah came out and tackled this chaos with grace and integrity. He got down to the root of it — after years of money, anxiety, and frustration he found out it was a city problem! I will definitely be calling LiningWorks when my lining needs replacing. Call them now, you will not be disappointed.

The main drain line in our airbnb kept clogging up, filling the house with an awful sewage smell. We had drain cleaners come out to clear the line every couple months but it finally got so bad we had to close off our bookings. LiningWorks were very prompt in coming out. We discovered tree roots had broken up our line. Our sewage line runs under a tree and 6ft deep through our crawlspace so digging it up was going to be a nightmare. Liningworks was able to cut the tree roots out and line the pipe without any digging so that it's as good as new. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing sewage line repair.
